In March 2016, CNS member Brian Suher's nephew, Yoni Suher, z”l, was tragically killed in a suicide bombing in central Istanbul, Turkey, while on a culinary tour with his wife Inbal, celebrating his 40th birthday. 

In honor of his memory, Brian created the Yoni Suher, z"l Scholar-in-Residence Program, an annual event at Neveh Shalom that brings journalists, scientists, and more for a rich weekend of learning.
