A: https://members.nevehshalom.org

Q: What is ShulCloud?

A: ShulCloud is a cloud-based synagogue management software used by over 900 synagogues throughout the United States. This system was created to directly serve synagogues and their members’ unique needs, including account management, bill payment, record updating, membership directory, and more.

Q. What happened to our prior membership database, MM2000?

A: We decided to upgrade to a new database that had more features and usability for both staff and our members. All current membership records and most financial data have been imported into ShulCloud.

Q: How can I log in to ShulCloud?

A: You should have received an email inviting you to log in and create/update your profile. We strongly recommend that everyone take the time to complete this step when first accessing the new system. It will ensure that all payments and donations will be properly credited.

Q: What if I never received the email inviting me to create my profile?

A: Please check your junk/spam folder. If you are unable to find it, contact receptionist@nevehshalom.org and we will send you a new email invitation.

Q: I forgot my password, what do I do?

A: On the log-in screen, there is a “forgot password” button. If you click this, ShulCloud will send you an email prompting you to set up a new password.

Q: Can I update my personal information on ShulCloud?

A: Yes. You will be able to edit all this information on the website when logged in to your account. If you are logged in, a "Welcome [Your Name]"  button will be visible in the upper right corner of the website homepage. Click on the "My Account" menu item where you will be able to update any information.

You will be able to edit your personal information, including address, phone number, family relationships, and more.

Q: Who can see my information?

A: The Congregation Neveh Shalom (CNS) ShulCloud system is only accessible to CNS members. The only people who can see your financial information are you and the CNS administrative staff.  The CNS online Member Directory is only accessible to CNS members. Each account will be able to control what information is visible in that directory.

Q: Can I use ShulCloud to make donations or payments?

A: Yes! You will be able to make payments against your account balance, make donations and register for events and classes directly from the website. You will have the option to pay by either credit card or ACH payment.

Q: Is my credit card on file secure?

A: Yes. Your personal and financial information is secure. ShulCloud uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt all payment transactions. For more information on ShulCloud's security practices see: www.shulcloud.com/security

Q: Can I change my credit card on file or add a credit card on file?

A: Yes, at any time, you can update or add an additional credit card to your saved payment methods. You can do so by logging into your account and selecting My Account > My Financial Information > My Payment Methods.

Q: Can I pay with my bank account via ACH(eCheck)?

A: Absolutely. If you would like to add a bank account to your record, you can do so by selecting My Account > My Financial Information > My Payment Methods. When adding your bank account information, you must verify and validate the account. Select the ACH/eCheck gateway and select the Add payment method to this gateway button. Click on the PLAID button and find your banking institution. You will be directed to log into your account to verify your account details. Once your account is verified, it will be stored on your account for future payments.

If your banking institution is not listed, then you will be prompted to use micro-deposits. Micro-deposits are small amounts deposited and removed from your bank account, usually two of them and generally less than a dollar. You will be asked to verify the amounts of the deposits in Shul Cloud. Micro deposits usually take 1-3 days to be deposited and removed from your account, so you'll need to come back and verify them once you receive them in order to save your account as a payment method. Please note that failure to verify and validate your account information can result in past due balances accruing on your account. Please reach out to tnunnenkamp@nevehshalom.org with any questions.

Q: What if I do not want to make payments online?

A: You may continue to mail checks to make payments. If you choose to send checks, we ask that you allow up to 2 weeks for payments to appear on your account.

Q: How do I check my account balance?

A: Log in to ShulCloud and select  "My Account." Under "My Financial Information," click on the "My Transactions" tile to see your account balance. Please keep in mind that payments made by check may take up to 2 weeks to appear on your account.

Q: How do I determine what information is shared in the online Member Directory?

A: After logging in to ShulCloud, click on “My Account.” Under "Membership Directory,"  click on “Edit My Directory Listing.”  You can choose to hide selected elements of your directory listing or choose not to appear in the directory at all by opting out.

Q: Why don't my children (over the age of 26) show up on my account?

A: Once a child is over the age of 26, they are moved into their own account. They are then linked back to your account. Only the office can manage these relationships (you can't do it yourself). If you find a relationship we've missed, please let us know and we'll fix it!

Q. ShulCloud isn’t working for me and I am frustrated.

A: We appreciate your patience as we roll out this new software. Our staff will provide support to help members learn to navigate the new system. Please stay tuned to the weekly email for dates and times. If you have questions, please contact receptionist@nevehshalom.org.
