Tisha B’Av historically commemorates numerous tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people, including the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. In recognition of the tragic events of this past year, we will be screening The Legend of Destruction (2021). This remarkable animated film tells the story of the Jewish revolt against Rome that ended with the destruction of the Temple in the year 70. Directed by Gidi Dar (Ushpizin, 2004), it features voice acting by Oscar Isaac, Billy Zane, and Elliot Gould and incorporates 1,500 original paintings by David Polonsky and Michael Faust. [Trailer].
